It has taken me several months to get this wedding’s highlights posted, but it sure gets me thinking about summer! In the town where most of “Groundhog Day” was filmed, Justine and Jonathan started with a traditional church wedding at St. Mary Catholic Church, followed by a stroll in the Woodstock (IL) Town Square. After that there was a trip to the Marengo Ridge Conservation Area, and a final destination of Donley’s Wild West Town in Union, IL where their reception was held. A perfect couple on a perfect day!.jpg)

Taking advantage of the picturesque downtown of West Dundee, IL, Jordan and Calvin tried not to shiver too much as we moved location to location on a chilly afternoon. Scenes from the movie “Road to Perdition” starring Tom Hanks, Jude Law and Paul Newman were filmed here.

I only had my iPhone while walking around downtown Chicago on New Year’s Eve, and couldn’t resist making this picture of a bridal couple being photographed in front of the InterContinental Hotel on Michigan Avenue. Not having my Canon 1DX or Nikon D4 with me, I learned the title of Chase Jarvis’ book is so true, “The Best Camera is The One That’s With You.”
